Thirteen people, one studio.
Nine years building
with the same hands.
CBHiTech is a 13-person studio in Lahore. Umair Nawaz founded it in 2017 as a one-man Fiverr studio. Hafiz Dawood Ahmed joined in 2021 as a developer and runs operations as CEO. The other eleven of us are designers, engineers, content producers and ops — together we cover brand, web, mobile, AI consoles and the video that shows it all in the wild.
Why we started CBHiTech.
Umair started CBHiTech in 2017 as a Fiverr studio, alone. In nine years we've designed over 11,000 logos and shipped 500+ WordPress sites for restaurants, dental clinics, real estate brokers, plumbers, salons, accountants — a cross-section of the small-business world that we don't think any single agency ever sees. We learned what these owners actually struggle with, which turns out to be almost never branding.
What they struggle with is the gap between the work they do and the systems that connect that work to their customers. The dentist who's brilliant chair-side but loses three appointments a week to phone tag. The restaurant owner whose floor manager spends ninety minutes a night on Instagram DMs. The realtor who's still copying inquiries from one inbox into another spreadsheet. None of these are branding problems. They're operations problems wearing a website's clothes.
In late 2024 we started building Next.js sites with embedded AI — not chatbots, but consoles tuned for a single operator role. The first one was Tasty Bites: a Karachi restaurant where the maître d's after-hours shift had become unsustainable. We shipped a six-specialist ⌘K console in three weeks. By month two, the floor manager had her evenings back.
That worked, so we built another. Then another. Then twenty-five more. Each one taught the studio something about a different industry's specific bottleneck — what the operator actually needs, what the AI should never be allowed to commit to on its own, where the bilingual edge cases hide. The 27 AI consoles are the second decade of CBHiTech: a studio that designs and ships these systems, end-to-end, for a price small businesses can actually justify.
We grew from one person to thirteen between 2021 and 2025. Hafiz Dawood Ahmed runs the studio day-to-day as CEO. Umair runs the design. Eleven other people own brand, WordPress, mobile, AI, content and ops. You still talk to one person on your project — usually Umair or Dawood — but everything behind that one person is a real team.
That's the studio. Twenty-seven AI consoles live, eleven thousand logos shipped, five hundred WordPress sites running. The next one might be yours.
How we got here.
Fiverr designer, Lahore
First three years. Logos, business cards, lots of Photoshop. Thousands of clients across forty countries. Learned to ship under deadline.
Pivot to web
WordPress, Webflow, Framer. Built sites for SMBs across hospitality, dental, real estate. Started understanding operations, not just visuals.
The frustration year
Watched the same operational problems repeat across hundreds of clients. Realised every site I built was static — beautiful, but it didn't run their business.
The pivot
Claude 3 launched. I built my first AI-embedded site for a Karachi restaurant. It worked. Within six months I'd shipped eight more.
CBHiTech founded
Formalised the studio. Renamed from 'Umair Studio.' Tagline became 'Digital dreams, realized.'
Year of the console
Eighteen new systems. Discovered the ⌘K palette as the universal entry point. Each console started looking different from the last.
27 systems live
The studio sits on a portfolio of consoles spanning fourteen industries and six countries. Selectively taking new clients.
The tools, plainly.
Next.js · React
Every site is hand-built. No themes, no page-builders. Vercel for hosting.
Claude · GPT · Gemini
Routed by task. Sonnet handles most operator-facing replies; Haiku for fast lookups.
Claude Code · Codex
We pair-program with the agents. They write 80% of the code; we write the prompts and review every line.
Postgres · Vector DB
Supabase for state, Pinecone or pgvector for retrieval over client corpora.
Twilio · Stripe · Cal.com
SMS, payments, scheduling. Whatever the operator's day actually touches.
Figma · Pen & paper
We sketch every console on paper first. Brand systems live in Figma. Prototypes in Framer.
Email · Loom
Weekly Loom updates during builds. Direct email — no Slack, no project portal.
Fixed scope
We quote a price and a timeline. No hourly billing. If we underestimate, that's on us.
Thirteen people. No middleman.
